This 1930s German educational film shows the harvesting of rye, and the processing of it in the field. It includes images of men working with scythes to cut the plants, and then the use of horse-drawn equipment in other parts of the process. Some mechanization is also apparent -- tractors and other equipment are used to harvest and bale the grain so that it can be taken to market.
