I've always known that I should hit this one up, not only because my general aesthetic is that of a preteen goth girl cleaning out all of the Jack Skellington merch from a Hot Topic, but also because this move was genuinely huge for me growing up. I'm confident I had seen Nightmare Before Christmas well before any strong memories I've had leading me to believe this movie influenced me a great deal. I've always had a taste for halloween styled music and attribute that to why I gravitated toward Avenged Sevenfold so much. I tried to emulate Sevenfold quite a bit in this arrangement.

I went into this cover with confidence, knowing that though I knew it would be difficult with how much it moves, I felt like I could comfortably navigate it and I ended up underestimating it a lot. At first glance it's a very similar progressing just played across a few different keys, but very little repeats for very long and the arpeggios and backing lines are relentless. I wanted to do my best to make the fullest and most grand sounding cover of this on YouTube and spent a full day just arranging the orchestra that would take a backseat to the guitars. It was a daunting task and for the first time in a very long time, I started to feel nervous about not finishing it on time.

This year has been weird, painful, and also relentless and I hope that you all can still have a good Halloween. I know this technically isn't a video game song per se, but I figured this would finally be the year to break this one out for all of you. I sincerely hope you enjoy it.
