Dragon Ball Z: The Greatest Son Goku Legend (in English) is a fighting game released only in Japan. The game sets sometime before the Buu Saga, as Gohan is telling Goten the stories of their deceased father Goku.

The controls are some of the worst a fighting game could have. Basically you can only hold one of the two buttons (or both to recharge your KI) and hope for the best. You can choose attack, defence, KI Charge and later in the game KI attack (the little box under the character's picture is showing you the selected), however you can attack even if you selected KI Charge but that would produce little or no damage to the enemy. After you drain your enemy's energy (the large bar) you get to go to the Moves selection screen. I usualy used the Kamehameha because it's the most effective, but sometimes nothing, if the enemy is clearly in defense as he can defend himself by raising his stance bar. Sometimes nothing can be done at all and you have to loose energy as a cutscene is about to start. When you drain your enemy's Life bar the fight is over.
