Your eyes are not deceiving you...
In this deliberately sped-up version, you can observe Mars' sunset being the opposite to that on Earth.

Owing to the dust in the thin atmosphere, the sky usually appears red during the day.

As the sun sets, the sun has to travel through more of the dust. As a consequence, the red light gets scattered and gives the appearance of a blue sunset.

Please note this video is from some virtual Mars experiences we (‪@mxtreality‬) are creating in collaboration with the Mars Society.

This particular experience is built to allow wannabe virtual astronauts to fly over Valles Marineris, a "crack" on Mars that is just below the equator and stretches over 2,500 miles (4,000 km) in a full motion simulator (‪@YawVR‬).
