MUST-SEE Hamilton Gardens + Church Made of Trees (TreeChurch in Ohaupo) | NEW ZEALAND

When you're visiting Hamilton, something that you absolutely can't miss is Hamilton Gardens. An incredible place filled with beautiful and creative gardens. You'll feel like you've traveled around the world in an afternoon all while staying in New Zealand :)

Hamilton Gardens is free to visit, although donations help with future garden developments. It definitely needs to make your must-do NZ list especially if you enjoy unique garden designs. Reserve a few hours to stroll around the entire place.

Before visiting Hamilton Gardens, we started our day with some delicious dumplings and jianbing (Chinese crepes) over at Dumpling House in Hamilton. This popular shop has been around for 10 years and they're famous for their dumplings! They're also located a very short drive from the Hamilton Gardens which is handy.

If you're looking for some dessert treats in Hamilton, you can't go past Gumdrops Desserts. They've got tons of delicious treats in their cabinet as well as yummy milkshakes too. Bright, cheery and colourful, a great stop when you're after something sweet.

The last spot we visited was somewhere pretty special. A living church, made of trees nestled amongst serene and tranquil gardens. A true labour of love. TreeChurch in Ohaupo is only about a 20 minute drive away from Hamilton and open to the public for general admission on Sundays 10am–4pm from October to the end of April.
