Top 20 Favorite NHL Goalie Masks

Описание к видео Top 20 Favorite NHL Goalie Masks

So I decided to put this back up again (switching up the vibe by swapping in non-copyrighted music). I mean, it's 9 years old and not quite as accurate as my tastes are today (Olie the Goalie's mask is way too low, and I'd say my favorite now is probably Patrick Lalime's penguin, though I still do love a lot of these masks, including Richter's), but I still figured I might as well put this back up. I'm amazed that I thought the Liberty logo was the best logo in hockey back then. Things have changed, haha, but I do definitely still think it's the best Rangers logo. Anyways, enjoy my old school video with new music. - CheesyJon in 2021

18. Kelly Hrudey - Los Angeles Kings
17. Dwayne Roloson - Tampa Bay Lightning
16. Olaf Kolzig - Washington Capitals
15. Ilya Bryzgalov - Phoenix Coyotes
14. Stephen Valiquette - New York Rangers
13. Wade Dubielewicz - New York Islanders
12. Mike Smith - Tampa Bay Lightning

10. John Vanbiesbrouck - New York Rangers
9. Pekka Rinne - Nashville Predators
8. Brian Haywood - San Jose Sharks
7. Gerry Cheevers - Boston Bruins
6. Martin Gerber - Ottawa Senators
5. Dany Sabourin - Pittsburgh Penguins
4. John Vanbiesbrouck - "The Return." - Philadelphia Flyers
3. Patrick Lalime - Pittsburgh Penguins
2. Trevor Kidd - Calgary Flames
1. Mike Richter - New York Rangers

Sabourin wasn't shown in his picture on Pittsburgh. He was with Wilkes-Barre, but he wore the same mask with Pittsburgh. His second picture has a different mask, but very similar to the first. If you asked me to choose which of the two I liked better, I would have to say the Penguins. Not sure what team he is on with the other mask, but the one forsure with the Penguins is my favorite of the two.

I like Mike Richter's mask because in my opinion, the Rangers Liberty logo is the best logo in the entire NHL. I think they should bring it back like they used to have as third jerseys. Mike Richter wore it famously on his head winning the Stanley Cup game I, as a Canucks fan, do not like to look back on... even though I was born the year after, so not seeing it live. But Richter was still a great goaltender with a great mask.
