Maria Torres-Springer, New York City’s Deputy Mayor for Housing, Economic Development, and Workforce, joined Ben Max, Executive Editor and Program Director for the Center for New York City Law, to discuss the Adams administration’s housing agenda and the policies the city seeks from the state. The Deputy Mayor also discussed how those policies fit into the administration’s larger housing and economic development plans, which include 500,000 new housing units by 2033, the proposed City of Yes for Housing Opportunity zoning amendment, and neighborhood rezonings.
