Trains at Severn Tunnel Junction, SWML - 08/01/23

Welcome to the latest episode of Spotting! Today I am at Severn Tunnel Junction on the South Wales Main Line where services are seen by Great Western Railway, CrossCountry and Transport for Wales.

Another amazing station, Severn Tunnel Junction never ever disappoints in terms of enjoyment and variety, even with lots of things being more 'modernised' including the station itself. STJ in this instance saw the yearly XC diverts take place whereby they pass from the Bristol direction into Newport before passing a second time to go towards Gloucester and vice versa! We saw good amount of traction here and once again was fantastic to film at!
