Скачать или смотреть James Webb Telescope captured Mars for the first time (Infrared Images of Mars)

On September 5, NASA's James Webb Space Telescope got the first photos and spectra of Mars. With its infrared sensitivity, it gives a unique viewpoint on our neighbouring planet, supplementing data acquired by orbiters, rovers, and other observatories. Webb's unique observation site at the Sun-Earth Lagrange point 2 (L2), about a million miles distant, gives a glimpse of Mars' visible disc (the portion of the sunlit side that is facing the telescope).

While some days ago, at September 6th, 2022, Thousands of never-before-seen newborn stars were discovered in the stellar nursery 30 Doradus by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope. The Tarantula Nebula, so named because of the appearance of its dusty filaments in previous telescopic photographs, has long been a favourite of astronomers researching star formation.

The Tarantula Nebula is the biggest and brightest star-forming area in the Local Group of galaxies, which is just 161,000 light-years away in the Large Magellanic Cloud galaxy. It is home to the world's hottest and most big stars. Three of Webb's high-resolution infrared sensors were directed towards the Tarantula.

Another exciting piece of news is that NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has revealed its capabilities closer to home with its first image of Neptune. Webb's cameras not onl y obtained the sharpest glimpse of this faraway planet's rings in more than 30 years, but they also portray the ice giant in a completely new light.
