Winter cold and exhausting life of old couple in the cave: Village Life Afghanistan

In the cold winter of Bamiyan, as snow blankets the mountain slopes, an elderly couple finds warmth and purpose within the traditional caves near the Buddha statues. Their small hearth crackles softly, and the comforting aroma of freshly prepared Qoruti fills the stone-walled space.

The old man, with a white beard and calloused hands, breaks dried bread into small pieces, while the woman, draped in a colorful shawl, gently stirs the yogurt mixture in a clay bowl.
