Through the basics of color theory, I’ll show you how to mix colors using prismacolor colored pencils using layering techniques. I demo secondary colors (green, purple, orange) and complementary colors, which are opposites on the color wheel. You’ll be surprised at how easy it is to make colorful spheres pop off the page with these simple drawing techniques.

The other great bonus of learning how to use this colored pencil layering technique is that with a simple set of colored pencils you can essentially “mix” dozens more colors! therefore you don’t need to go out and break the bank buying a large set of colored pencils, if you follow the simple tips on using secondary and complementary colors shown in this video!
