Chairman and CEO George Barrett will share "What's on His Mind" at the CMC forum on Wednesday, June 25 as he is interviewed by Columbus CEO editor, Mary Yost.
Dublin-based Cardinal Health is a home-grown success story founded by Robert D. Walter in 1971 as a food distribution company. In 1979, Walter purchased a drug distribution company which led the path to greater acquisition and creation of healthcare related businesses under the Cardinal Health umbrella. Today, Cardinal Health is a global pharmaceutical and medical products distributor that is the largest Ohio-based business enterprise, coming in at 21 on the 2014 Fortune list of revenue-ranked companies with sales of $101 billion.
At George Barrett's visit with the CMC audience he will talk about the future of healthcare and the impact on Cardinal Health and therefore the local community. He understands the importance of local leadership also as a member of the Columbus Partnership, a board member of Nationwide Children's Hospital and a co-chair of Mayor Colman's Education Commission.
