This event took place and was recorded on the unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and Sel̓íl̓witulh Nations, who have been creating art and sharing stories since time immemorial.

Taking place on the third Wednesday of every month, Poets Corner celebrates Canadian poets with a hybrid reading event with the goal of promoting recent poetry publications. Check out our Facebook or Instagram pages for more information!

Alice Major's 12th collection of poetry is "Knife on Snow" from Turnstone Press. Previous work has been recognized with the Pat Lowther and Stephan G. Stephansson poetry awards as well as a National Magazine Award Gold Medal. She also served as the City of Edmonton's first poet laureate and received the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Artist Award. Recently she has been a contributor to "Reimagining Fire", a project bringing visual artists, writers and scientists together to create work related to climate change, and was invited to read at the UN’s COP15 conference on biodiversity in Montreal.
