These demonstrations portray Krista's dedication and discipline to the Ashtanga Yoga practice. The physical aspects of practicing Ashtanga Yoga shows what the human body is capable of based on daily practice, the physical demands of the postures (asanas), the focus needed for conscious breathing (pranayama), awareness of the bandhas, concentration on gaze points (drishti), and immersing in the blissful silence within yourself through the practice. The true beauty of Ashtanga Yoga not only transforms the body but also the mind unveiling intangible benefits that are often hidden from view.

As a lifelong student of Ashtanga Yoga, there are no words to express my gratitude towards Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson R. Sharath Jois for dedicating their lives to practice and teach this ancient powerful system. In February of 2009 Guruji and Sharath granted me Level 2 Authorization and told me to return home and open a shala to share this practice as they have taught me. I return to Mysore almost yearly to re-connect with my teacher, take time to humbly study and grow, and fill my well so I can return home and share more of my passion with others
