In this video we will study about the Governor as the Executive and the Nominal head of the States. The Governor is appointed by the President and he acts as the agent of President in the State. He is the representative of President in the State and reports the affairs of the state to the President. Most of his roles are same as the President in the Center. He is the Executive Head of the state. He prorogues, dissolves the assemblies. He can promulgate ordinances regarding state List.
We will study Governor in two parts. In this video we will study Qualification to become Governor, oath, term of office, appointment of Governor etc, In the part two of the video we will study ab;out the Powers of the Governor.
