here are a few further differences between the two. I've got an S1.

S2 has better brakes, S2 has a better dash (bbut they can be swapped between the two bikes), S2 has adjustable forks as well which is nice. They also have a slightly different fuel tank.

Downsides are that there are additional cats in the exhaust headers so to get a true cat less system you have to replace the headers with the earlier ones. Also the bike runs a lambda sensor on the s2.

Out of the two for general road riding you won't notice much of a difference I wouldn't expect.
