Now that we understand the importance of a Google My Business listing today we're going to talk about a way you can influence the appearance of your listing in Google Maps and Search.

Offers are a great way to market your business and interact with potential customers. They also happen to show up at the top of your listing in Google Maps and Search. This is prime real estate and the opportunity to influence it should not be passed up!

Different than the 'Welcome offer' we created yesterday, these types of offers are available to anyone who visits your listing and the layout offers a great space to feature your best offers helping potential customers make the decision to interact with your brand.

To create a promotional sale or offer, open you Google My Business dashboard and click on posts. In the post dashboard click on “Add offer”. An offer requires a title and requires a start date and an end date, plus you can include times. You can also add a photo or video to your offer and, if you click add more details, you can add a description, a coupon code, a link and terms and conditions. When you're happy with what you've done, you can preview your offer and then publish.
