Designing STRONG parts: tips and tricks - 3D design for 3D printing pt5

Описание к видео Designing STRONG parts: tips and tricks - 3D design for 3D printing pt5

To get the best out of 3D printing, it helps if you can design your own parts. In this tutorial series, we will learn to use a free 3D CAD program to do just that.

In this episode, we design a bracket and mount that needs to be quite strong. To achieve this, three parts are used instead of one, so they can each print with the strongest print orientation. They are joined using bolts into trapped nuts, as well as bolts that cut their own thread. We also cover design features and slicer tips for increased strength.
