I can’t believe I’m writing this: Together, we raised $10,000 to make Christmas unforgettable for 28 girls at a children’s home in the Dominican Republic, a place close to mine & my family’s heart.

Last November, I shared the home’s struggles and hoped we could raise enough to cover the essentials. Not only did we meet that goal—we exceeded it by four times! When we surprised the head nun, who had taken on an extra job just to pay the bills, her relief was visible. And the girls? The pure joy on their faces when they realized how many people cared about them is something I’ll never forget.

A special shoutout to @miss_rizos and her team at @missrizossalonrd for their generous donation of products for curly hair (which the girls specifically asked for 💕).

But this is just the beginning. The nuns have amazing plans for the future: starting a bakery to teach the girls life skills, offering English classes, and even buying a van for field trips.
