To get to Pilatus Kulm, you can take the
cableway or the world's steepest rack railway.

There are two hotels and three
restaurants here at the peak of Pilatus.

Fun Fact: A local legend about the origin
of the name Pilatus claims that it was named so because Pontius Pilate is buried here!

After the renovation of the hospitality infrastructure on the
mountain in 2009 and 2011, the PILATUS-BAHNEN AG invested
another 18 million CHF in this new aerial cableway.

You start the descent on The Dragon Ride. This spectacular, modern, aerial cableway gives passengers the sensation of flying.

Fräkmüntegg is a stop along the route full of adventure
and fun. It features the largest rope park in central
Switzerland, tree tents, a toboggan run, hiking trails and
scenic grilling spots. In winter, Fräkmüntegg boasts
fast-paced sledding and winter hiking trails.
There is also a self-service restaurant.

The remainder of the descent to Kriens is in a
more traditional (and smaller) gondola car.
