يوثّق هذا الفيلم الحفل الموسيقي الذي أقيم في القاهرة بتاريخ 31 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2021، والحوار الذي تلاه. هذا الحفل هو جزء من مشروع يهدف إلى تسليط جديد للضوء على تاريخ الموسيقى العربية من خلال الحوار. تناولت النقطة المحورية للمشروع التغييرات التي حدثت في أساليب الأداء وأشكال الحفلات الموسيقية خلال القرن العشرين، والتي أثرت بشكل جوهري على الطريقة التي تظهر فيها الموسيقى العربية.
قام هذا المشروع بمبادرة من استاذ الموسيقى سيرن مولر سيرنسن، والموسيقار والملحن الفلسطيني/الدنماركي بلال ارشيد، الذي يظهر كعازف للعود ووسيط، في هذا الحوار.

This film documents a concert and an after-concert-talk that took place in Cairo, Saturday, October 30th 2021. The concert was part of a project aimed at shedding new light on Arabic music history through dialogue. The project’s focal point was the changes in performance practices and concert formats that took place during the 20th century, and which have radically changed the way Arab classical music appears.
The project is devised by the Danish musicologist Søren Møller Sørensen and the Palestinian/Danish musician and composer Bilāl Irshed who also appears as an oud player and mediator in the talk.
