Kilbowie hosted Scottish League football from 1966 (when Clydebank FC attained league status) to 1996 (when the ground was sold by the owners). The club endured six years of groundsharing before folding in 2002.

Had I visited a few months earlier, I may have caught some priceless footage of the last days of Kilbowie, but I had to content myself with a few intruiging pieces of painted rubble. Although the goalposts were still up.
