[VERIFIED] Based After Based | A Top 10 With No Spikes

Based After Based by akunakun and more! I’m so happy to finally have verified another super hard level. Initially going into this, I was extremely intimidated, which I’m sure makes sense considering the kind of level this is. After enough grinding though everything clicked, and I had a couple sessions where I was super consistent and managed to fluke the level from 78%.

Of course, the concept of this level is that it has no spikes, slopes, is all 1x speed, and is all dual. Learning this level was definitely one of the hardest things I’ve accomplished in the game in general, the only level I’ve done that could be considered learnier is Kyouki. The asymmetrical dual ship is the single most complex gameplay part I have ever had to get the hang of. Despite how MUCH the level is, by the end of the grind everything started to get really consistent. I genuinely enjoyed getting better at the level and figuring out how to make each part consistent, and actually pulling off the parts is extremely satisfying. I’m sure a lot of people will look at this level and think “ew, this seems unplayable”, but I REALLY want people to give this level a chance. I'm not lying at all when saying I had a really good time with this from start to finish.

As for the difficulty, I am fairly certain this is somewhere between Firework and Kyouki. I have no other reference points so this is all I really have to go off of. It took me far less time and attempts than Kyouki, and it also was a lot more daunting of a level to beat than Firework. I am still scared that the level is nowhere near as difficult as this, as at the end of the grind the level got so incredibly consistent, which leads me to believe a HUGE amount of the difficulty comes from getting the level down rather than it actually being hard. I'll have to wait for other players' opinions to really know, but a level that took me this much time and effort logically should be over Firework. I especially feel unreliable since I fluked the last straight fly, which is one of the hardest choke points in the entire level.

Moving forward with my personal plans, I want to start playing stuff for the intent of improving at the game. This grind ended a good bit before I expected, which I'm totally fine with since I can start going for other hard levels!
