LineageOS 21 (Android 14) on Shield TV 2017

Official LineageOS 21 based on Android 14 for Shield TV 2015, 2017 & 2019 pro but in my case i installed it on Shield tv 2017.

Get the latest updates with security patches with this ROM. It does feel a bit smoother than the Nvidia’s android OS but with few minimal bugs here & there in the ROM. Also no app switcher for some reason.

Edit: I found a major Bluetooth bug that made me switch back to Stock Shield OS with latest Hotfix 2 which is recently got released. Audio cuts out very bad after every few seconds on Bluetooth in LOS which made me jump back. I have submitted issues on official LOS page but no updates as of yet.

All the audio & video codecs are working just fine that are supported in Shield tv 2017(Dolby Atmos & DTS:X for audio & HDR10 for video) although if u have Shield tv 2019 or 2019 pro you will loose on AI pro upscaling & no dolby vision cause that’s Nvidia’s proprietary code.

Netflix & other official apps also run at full resolution as it retains DRM (Widevine L1) certification.
