This was Laurent Jalabert last time trial. Therefore the french people were cheering him all the way.
Lance Armstrong set out to uphold his tradition of winning the last TT. Rumsas and Beloki was no treat and Armstrong would end up with a overall winning margin of 7min, 17sek.
