I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Edwin Patterson at his restaurant, Tamara's, in Old Harbour (Puerto Viejo), Costa Rica. Edwin Patterson and his family are one of the oldest families in the area. He owns the oldest restaurant in Puerto Viejo and is a former Congressman of Costa Rica. During our conversation, he shared insights into his family and business life, the history of the area, teachings of Marcus Garvey, and how he perceives the changes that have occurred over time.
