Tackling Global Challenges Together – for Development and Climate

The Development and Climate Alliance is a strong network of more than 1,600 supporters from various sectors (as of July 2025). It brings together businesses, organisations, representatives from the public sector, civil society, and committed individuals. Together, they work to link sustainable development with climate action in order to address the key challenges of our time.

The guiding principle of the supporters’ climate action is the avoidance and reduction of emissions. Unavoidable emissions are to be offset through high-quality projects that contribute to climate protection while also improving living conditions in the Global South.

Financing such projects in the Global South supports the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Supporters also benefit from a wide range of information and advisory services provided by the foundation, as well as from networking opportunities with other stakeholders taking a leading role in the fields of development and climate.
