My First Time Packing A Barrel To Ship to Jamaica!! 🇯🇲

Shipping a barrel has been a great way for persons who were born in The Islands but now live in first world nations such as the USA, Canada or England, to show their loved ones who remain in the Islands, that they are not forgotten. Barrels are usually stocked with clothing, food items, snacks and treats that are more costly in the island nations, electronics, cosmetics, toiletries and other household essentials, may also be included. In this way, limited earnings there stretch further, because certain food items do not need to be purchased there. In poorer economies, the barrel is greatly anticipated. I had always taken the stuff physically in packages when I travel, but with this new global situation, I might as well ship it and get caught up.

Did you know that the cost to ship a large suitcase/"dulcimina"/"grip" is the same as a standard barrel? Might as well send the barrel, yes?
