What if Melinda had died down in the tunnels . . .

I did something a little different in this video. I made it for the what if contest. So what if Mel had died when she was down in the tunnels??

Color: What is happening now . . . Jim is alive and grieving . . . Mel is a ghost

Black and White: . . . When Mel dies, so the events that lead up to her dieing . . . meaning her and Jim talking . . . her hurt in the tunnels . . . her in the hospital

Sepia: the memories of all the good times they shared together.

This video starts out with Mel dead and seeing the light, but she isnt ready. When she opens her eyes she is home but she hears Jim talking. She realizes he is apologizing for not getting to her in time. It then jumps to Mels funeral where she is standing next to Jim and remembering some good times they shared . . . then she remembers the hospital room.

Mel went down into the tunnels looking for lost souls. She was caught in a cave in and severely hurt. Jim feels extremely guilty for everything that happened to her. It was his idea that the town was buried, and it was his job to keep her safe. But he couldnt get to her in time. By the time they found her she was unconscious. They rushed her to the hospital where she went into a coma. The doctors thought they had her stabilized and that she would be fine. But something happened and she died. After she dies Mel finds herself at the light where her grandma is waiting for her but after seeing how hurt Jim is she tells her grandma she cant come yet. She has to say goodbye 1st. Jim feels responsible . . . if only he would have stopped her . . . if only he would have gotten there sooner.

In the video we see that Jim and Mel are both extremely hurt that they cant be together. Jim cant see Mel so he cant say goodbye. Mel wishes she could be with him but knows her place is in the light. Jim is unsure if he can live without her. Throughout the video both Jim and Mel are reminded of the night she died and of their life together.

I really hope you enjoy this video, its something new that was actually really fun to make.
