This is the third arrest from Haryana so far, while the second arrest from Nuh district, which points to the possible roots of anti-national activities in the state. Earlier, YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra was arrested from Hisar for allegedly spying for Pakistan, while another youth named Armaan has been arrested from Nuh. The strings of these three cases point to a wide espionage network, which was in contact with the intelligence agency of the neighboring country. After the arrest of Tarif, a formal FIR has been registered against him at Tawadu Sadar police station. The special thing is that in this case, not only Tarif, but a case has also been registered against two officers posted in the High Commission of Pakistan.

Agencies suspect that he has sent some information earlier as well, which is being confirmed by cyber forensic investigation. Such arrests show that after Operation Sindoor, India's intelligence and security agencies have now expanded the scope of their operation from the borders to within.
