Addicted to Chaos - Acoustic Megadeth Cover

Re-up from 2017.

Youthanasia is a problematic album for me. I really liked Countdown to Extinction when it came out and the follow up's more reverb-laden soundscape and oddly simple riffing came as a shock. However, I've grown to like many of the songs and indeed have covered quite a few of them. Addicted to Chaos is probably my favourite from the album. Stripping it down to its bare essence was a revelation and the song really shines a light on Dave Mustaine's undeniable melodic sensibility. The lyrics are powerful, as well. Listening to songs like Chaos you get the feeling Mustaine's true self is hiding behind the sneering delivery. And the hair. Just kidding :)
