The Cimarons 'We Are Not The Same' (Official Audio)

Formed by Jamaican natives, Franklyn Dunn (on bass), keyboard player Carl Levy, guitarist Locksley Gichie and Maurice Ellis (drums), the group was later bolstered by the addition of lead singer Winston Reid (aka Winston Reedy), who joined following their relocation to London.

After gaining a firm following on London's thriving live scene, the group became one of the country's most sought-after session crews among the UK's leading reggae producers, including Laurel Aitken, Lloyd Briscoe and Phil Chen.

In the early seventies, they became the in-house band for Trojan Records, for whom they cut their debut album, "In Time", in 1974. There followed spells with Vulcan, Polydor, Virgin and Pickwick before the group disbanded to pursue other projects in the 1980s.

In 2020, the Cimarons announced their reunion, but their return to the stage has since been halted by the coronavirus outbreak.
