In a recent proposal by a Government Panel; Energy Transition Advisory Committee has suggested to BAN Diesel Vehicles in India by 2027. This move aims to promote EV adoption in India, simultaneously phasing out ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles and electrifying Public Transport. The suggested BAN on Diesel Vehicle has been majorly proposed for cities with a population peaking above 10 lakhs. Moreover, the proposal aims to BAN the sale of new Diesel vehicles post-2027 and should not have any impact on existing ones.
