The work famous A4 Class No. 4468 Mallard made her first visit to York station in almost 30 years on the 30th July 2019.

Joining the press day to launch the LNER #Azuma trains beginning revenue earning service north of York, Mallard was escorted from the National Railway Museum by a pair of DB Cargo Class 66s, and went on to be one of the star attractions.

Prior to launching, our recently installed York ROC cameras (in partnership with Network Rail) captured all the action.
