When noted classical dancer Padma Subrahmanyam wrote a letter to the Prime Minister’s Office in 2021, translating a Tamil article on Sengol, she could not have imagined that her action would trigger a chain of events. Two years later, the golden sceptre has now been moved from the Nehru Gallery of the Allahabad Museum to Delhi for installation in the new building of Parliament on May 28.
