I like this saw very much. I got it to complete a small home repair project and it works really well. Simple to use, cuts are clean.

I didn't want to rate this saw until I'd had an opportunity to do a reasonable amount of work with it. Now after cross cutting many 2 x 4s and even a few 2 x 8 joists and doing several long rip cuts, I'm happy to give this thing a 5-star rating. It's well-made, lightweight, well-designed and easy to use.

This saw does fine for cross cutting, but it truly shines at ripping.
I use a Diablo blade and a saw guide, and when I rip boards 8 to 12 feet long, it glides effortlessly through the 2x lumber. The cut is so perfect that I rarely have to sand out any saw marks.

The handle to control the depth broke off within 4 weeks. I am not “the rock” I pressed this down with normal pressure. Well, that is subjective.

So, we saw that it comes with a single beam laser, which helps to cut straight lines on your work. We think this is a significant help as quite often we found with other saws without this, we quite quickly veered away from our cut line.

It also comes with a dust blower to help keep your cut line free of sawdust for accurate cuts. A clean and clear work surface helps when using the laser, so at least we can see where we are driving.

For safety there is a guarded trigger which will minimise accidental start ups, which is backed up with an indicator light which shows when the tool is switched on. The last thing we want is a couple of missing fingers when we are done with our days cutting, so this piece of mind gives added comfort to our buying decision.

So, weighing at 8.7 pounds and running at a quick 5300 revs per minute, this suits the many jobs around the home that most hobbyists will need it for.
