Leaky air ring on intex easy set pool solution

This appears to be a common problem on the Intex EasySet pools. The air ring never really held air well. I started off with the pvc solution although I used some foam pipe insulation rather than pool noodles. I wasn't happy with the appearance or the performance as water could still spill over fairly easily. This year the memory from my youth of seeing milk and bleach jugs used as crab pot markers on the Chesapeake Bay came back to me. So I cut a slit in the ring and stuffed 1 gallon milk jugs in and closed up the slit with duct tape. I cut the slit on the outer part of the circumference of the ring so I wasn't really concerned with resealing it. This seems to be a great solution for keeping the liner going for a few more seasons. The replacement liners are pretty cheap so I'll likely replace it at some point. I'll probably go with greater depth to keep up with my kids growth :0)
