How to Identify Canadian Goldenrod - Wild Plant Identification

Описание к видео How to Identify Canadian Goldenrod - Wild Plant Identification

Hey guys in this video we talk about how to identify Canadian Goldenrod. This is a very common plant that can be found in fields, clearings, and prairie like environments. As the name might suggest, the flowers of Canadian Goldenrod are yellow or golden in color. There are several species of Goldenrod in the United States but this is the most common. The flowers grow in a loosely formed panicle on the top section of the plant in an alternating fashion. The leaves are narrow and lance shaped with very fine toothed margins. The leaves will grow in an alternate fashion as well and have three very prominent leaf veins. Canadian Goldenrod can grow from 4 to 6 ft. high and is beneficial for native pollinators.
