Writer/Director Dan Lantz and  Star Aaron Dalla Villa Discuss Their Film 'Alpha Rift', a Fantasy Adventure Film is now available in Select Theaters and on VOD.

'Alpha Rift' was one of those movies I didn't expect to like as much as I had. I was never really a kid that liked Fantasy as much as Sci-Fi, but Dan Lantz and I are of a similar age with quite a few similar influences that when I sat down to watch the film all the way through, I was extremely delighted in just how much fun and especially hopeful Alpha Rift' is, especially for a film a family can watch together.

Now, is Alpha Rift' a family film in the traditional description? Not exactly. There are jokes that will go over kids heads but that won't force parents to pause the film and question if that joke was too inappropriate for younger audiences or have to explain the facts of lift to the little ones.

Think 1980s PG instead of 21st century PG rating and you'll understand that about Alpha Rift'.

Luckily, I was able to catch up with Lantz and Dalla Villa about Alpha Rift' and the world building going on here to full involve everyone in essentially setting up a multiverse with future game play, sequels and so on.

Official Synopsis:

Nolan Parthmore (Aaron Dalla Villa) was just a regular guy, hanging with friends, working his game store, flirting with his co-worker, then one day, destiny came calling. A courier delivers a mysterious antique helmet with no note or description. When Nolan puts it on, his whole world changes. The helmet comes to life and calls out to an evil demon, Lord Dragsmere, who was imprisoned by Nolan's deceased father. Nolan soon discovers he is next in the bloodline, heir to The Nobleman, destined to become a hero whether he wants to be or not. Since the Dark Ages, the Noblemen have been guardians against the 13 Devil's Apostles: dark forces escaped from hell and let loose upon on earth. Generations later, it's the heirs of these  original  knights  that  possess  the  power  to  open  the  Alpha  Rift:the  only  defense  against  these supernatural foes.
