There are 5 deleted scenes and these fill a total of four minutes, 54 seconds of footage. The most substantial pieces connect to the “Sir Cadogan” painting and his role as guard. Otherwise, we only see very minor bits. Not every piece of information from the book could make it into the blockbuster, however, and some scenes ended up being deleted. Some of the deleted scenes depict very interesting moments that are sure to spark some discussion amongst fans.

☞CHAPTERS
"The Shrunken Head" 00:00
This deleted moment shows Harry screaming and holding on while Stan and Ernie attempt to get the vehicle under control. As they approach a turn the bus starts to spin uncontrollably. Harry then gets flung in the air and has to hold on to a pole to not injure himself.

"The Flying Bird" 00:33
This deleted scene involves a bird flying into him, causing him to exclaim in shock before it then flies away. Eventually, the bird is killed by the Whomping Willow.

"Ron And Hermione Talking About Hogsmeade" 1:15
There's a moment where Hermione and Ron talk about Hogsmeade. They gush over Honeydukes sweetshop, wax lyrical over the Three Broomsticks pub, and also reference Zonko's Joke Shop and Dervish and Banges, two more shops that sit on the high street.

"Meeting Sir Cadogan" 2:21
This deleted scene shows Harry, Ron, Dean Thomas, Seamus Finnigan, and Neville Longbottom all meeting the hapless Sir Cadogan for the first time. The knight is a nuisance in the book, changing passwords with annoying frequency and challenging students to fight him whenever they cross his path.

"The Fallout From Sirius Black's Attack" 2:59
After the attack, Gryffindor students return to their common room where Minerva McGonagall is waiting for them. Now, in this version of the movie, it appears Sir Cadogan was actually in the portrait instead of the Fat Lady. And he allowed Sirius entry because he had the password, which he'd swiped from Neville Longbottom after he'd left them lying around.
