Mazda B2000 & B2200 PCV Valve Grommet Removal (E30113338A)

This is just a quick video to show what's involved in removing an old and hardened PCV valve grommet from the valve cover. If you have your valve cover off to replace the valve cover gasket or head gasket, then that is a good time to go ahead and replace the valve cover grommet since it frequently requires removing the baffle cover on the inside. I didn't have any expectation of removing the grommet from the outside, but made an effort to in order to illustrate how brittle and stubborn they can be. The B2600i valve cover works the same way, although it has two separate baffle covers, one of which covers the PCV valve. Replacement baffle gaskets are also available for the B2000 & B2200 valve covers. There are two different size gaskets depending on which valve cover you have - the early style with the horizontal PCV valve, or the laster style that houses the PCV valve vertically.
