🦴 Here we have our vet, Dorothea, and our volunteer, Sue Edwards, working together to X-ray Juliet's feet. As you can see, sometimes these things take a little while to get sorted!

Juliet was rescued in Callosa de Segura with severe laminitis. She underwent tendon surgery a couple of months ago and wore supportive wooden shoes to gently correct the angle of her feet, which have now been removed. We are still monitoring her progress, but she's doing very well.

♥ Young Galahad, who suffered a bad injury from another horse's kick, has also recovered well. He can finally be released from the small enclosure where he has been confined during the several weeks necessary for him to heal.

As a non-profit foundation staffed almost entirely by volunteers, we rely on your donations to continue our work to save horses and to cover their ongoing feeding and care costs.
