How I setup my laptop for programming? Like you I had to setup my laptop for programming many many time ( every time I get a new laptop or need to wipe clean my windows installation) and I was guilty of wasting my time by manually installing and configuring my development environment, with that not only was I wasting precious time
on non-value-added work but I also constantly forgetting something necessary to install for a distraction free coding environment... until one fine day I thought I am running all of this coding environment setup from the terminal one at the time, what if I can write a script and run that script and let it do the heavy lifting of installing everything I need and fine-tune my laptop for programming, and voila! There is a script that does that. That is such a game changer for me when it comes to configure my new PC or laptop for programming.
