You’re going to have 3 pieces of luggage in Tanzania. The first piece will hold all the things you will not need on the climb up Kilimanjaro. We don’t want to carry any extra weight that we don’t need. The other 3 pieces of baggage are your daypack and a duffel bag for Kilimanjaro. Both of these will come on the mountain with us. A porter will carry your duffel bag, and you will keep your daypack on your person. Your daypack is only going to have the things that you need to get from camp to camp during the day (it should weigh about 15lbs) and its contents will change throughout the climb. The porter can carry 40lbs in your duffel bag, and they weigh them at the gate.
