Tecnoline: tapering

Tapering is a mechanical processing consisting of the hammering of a tube spinning in a die.
 
In this case a customer needed a special tapering with a very compact reduction of a tube with thickness 2,5 mm.
The goal was reached after researching and producing a new material. Then we built special dies matching exactly with the drawing.
 
Sometimes the specialist has to consider the originating variables.  
A particularly funny variable is the material's age: a young pipe responds differently compared to an aged pipe.    
Each batch needs therefore to be tested.
 
This little rift were just caused from the pipe's age and were solved changing the tapering setting. The outcome meets the customer's expectation.
Thanks to new obtained pipes and upgraded tools, the tapering permits to reach new forms.
 
With up-to-date machinery we can taper pipes with a diameter till 80 mm and the tapering length can reach 630 mm.
Furthermore it's possible to taper square and triangular pipes.
