On Oct. 29, 2024, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services approved a 5-year extension of Wisconsin’s Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver called “Wisconsin BadgerCare Reform.” This means Wisconsin has federal permission to continue offering BadgerCare Plus coverage to Childless Adults – adults without dependent children in the home, who are not pregnant, disabled, or elderly, and have incomes up to 100% FPL. It’s effective from October 29, 2024 through December 31, 2029. We explain.
