Chandar Nahan is a high altitude lake which is located in Rohru tehsil of Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh, India at an elevation of about 4,260 m (13,980 ft) above sea level. It is surrounded by snow for a long time and is the source of the river Pabbar.

Dayara meadows is no ordinary meadows in trekking circles. In our experience, it is one of the most beautiful meadows that we have come across.

Meaning of Thach In the pahadi language of Himachal Pradesh means a meadow- a large plane area in hilly areas where goats and other animals use it for grazing..

Janglink village is the starting point of Chandranahan Trek which is around 148 Km from Shimla. It is situated in the Chauhra Valley of district Shimla. The nearest major location from Janglik is Rohru, that to be is 40 km. You can reach Janglik in your car if you have 4x4 otherwise you have to park your car in Tangnu village which is 3 km away from Janglik. As the roads from tangnu to Janglik is not suitable to drive for ordinary cars.

Once you stepped in Janglik village you can feel the old village vibes. The wooden carved houses elevated the beauty of this village.

The trek unwinds through the thick forests, beautiful meadows and grassy land ascents. The first stop after Janglik comes at tharanchu Thach where you can rest for a little bit and then as you moves forward you will witnessed and the landscapes similar to switzerland and alps walking through a mountain range and undulated meadows will level up your adrenaline rush.
After Tharanchu Thach there comes a place known as Simar Thach, where the locals have their own stalls where you can eat Pahado wali Maggi and drink tea which will energize you again. And you can enjoy views this place offers while eating. As you move forwards, you have to pass rocky terrains, dense forest before reaching DAYARA THACH.
A magnificent view of meadows will a pure blend of picturesque snow-capped mountains in the backdrop. This is Dayara Thach, here you can hear the thundering of the water streams and witness the snow-capped mountains.
Being a moderate trek it takes around 5-6 hours to reach Dayara Thach.
