Upper Body Warm Up Exercises [ Axe Physio ]

Описание к видео Upper Body Warm Up Exercises [ Axe Physio ]

Upper Body Warm Up Exercises to do Before Gym or Sport! I take you through an easy to follow warm up exercise routine to prevent injury when you play sport and exercise in the gym! We look at how to warm up your upper body before a gym session just using a resistance band. I give variations of these exercises to my patients when warming up for heavy upper body movements in the gym, specifically heavy horizontal push and vertical push exercises. This encompasses flat bench, dumbbell bench, shoulder press, push jerk and other variations of these exercises. Furthermore, horizontal pull type exercises and vertical pull exercises will also benefit greatly from doing this type of warm up. these exercises include bench pull and pull up variations.

I did this warm up for this workout!:

o, we start off with:
1. Dislocators for mobility
2. Rotator cuff internal and external rotations: easy (By side)  Hard rotator cuff work (at 90 degrees)
3. Horizontal pulls and ‘pull aparts’ for posterior cuff
4. Pec warm up with flys
5. Deltoid warm up with front and side raises.
I feel this warm up is a nice initial starting point for your up-body sessions. However, this should not replace your barbell warmup but should be used prior. All up this warmup should take less than 6 or 7 minutes. Technique is important by also getting through the exercises and getting warm is also important so maintain reasonable technique whilst performing the movements, but it shouldn't take you a long time to get through it.
