नरक चतुर्दशी के दिन व्रत करने से भगवान श्रीकृष्ण व्यक्ति को सौंदर्य प्रदान करते हैं। रूप चतुर्दशी के दिन सुबह सूरज उगने से पहले उठकर तेल मालिश और पानी में चिरचिरी के पत्ते डालकर उस पानी से नहाना चाहिए।

संध्या के समय यमराज की पूजा और दीप दान करने से नर्क के यातनाओं और अकाल मृत्यु का भय नहीं रहता है। इस कारण भी नरक चतुर्दशी के दिन पूजा का विधान है। छोटी दिवाली के दिन रात में घर के बुजुर्ग पूरे घर में दिया जलाते हैं इसे पूरे घर में घुमाते हैं। इसके बाद इस दीये को घर से कहीं दूर छोड़ आते हैं। ऐसा करने से घर की सभी बुरी शक्तियां और नेगेटिव एनर्जी बाहर हो जाती है।

इस दिन मां काली की आराधना का विशेष महत्व होता है। काली मां के आर्श‍िवाद से शत्रुओं पर विजय प्राप्त करने में सफलता मिलती है। अधिकतर जगहों पर रूप चतुर्दशी का पर्व यमराज के प्रति दीप प्रज्जवलित कर, यम के प्रति आस्था प्रकट करने के लिए मनाया जाता है, लेकिन बंगाल में मां काली के जन्मदिन के रूप में भी मनाया जाता है, जिसके कारण इस दिन को काली चौदस कहा जाता है।

By fasting on Narak Chaturdashi, Lord Krishna gives beauty to the person. It is believed that on this day, bathing in the morning and worshiping Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna is best.

Worshiping Yamraj and donating lamps at dusk do not fear the torture of hell and premature death. Due to this also, there is a law of devotion and worship on the day of Naraka Chaturdashi. On the day of Chhoti Diwali, the elders of the house burn lamps in the whole house and rotate them throughout the house. After this, they leave this lamp far away from home. By doing this, all the evil forces and negative energy of the house get out.

Worshiping Mother Kali has special significance on this day. The blessings of Kali Maa lead to success in conquering enemies. In most places the festival of Roop Chaturdashi is celebrated by lighting a lamp against Yamraj, to show faith in Yama, but in Bengal, it is also celebrated as the birthday of Mother Kali, due to which this day is called Kali Chaudas. is.
