Most of the time when we think about taxes, we are thinking about our hard-earned money being siphoned off before we get a chance to even see it. But there’s something happening at the same time.

Something we don’t typically think about.

The taxation of our time…in the exact same manner.

We go to work, selling our brightest, most productive hours to somebody else, usually for way less than they’re worth. When we come home and all of our obligations are met, what we are left with is our “net time”. The time we are allowed to keep. That time must be used wisely and not squandered because it is our “profit”.

Cherish your margins, just as a business cherishes theirs. Pay yourself first and work second.
